He is winter’s reckoning.
Valrik is ancient, controlled, and terrifyingly deliberate; the being the old stories softened so humans could sleep at night. Known as Krampus, he walks the thin line between punishment and protection, judging those who stray too far from the warmth of tradition, desire, and truth.
He can wear a human shape when it suits him; dark-eyed, sharp-tongued, and magnetic in a way that feels earned rather than offered. Beneath it, something antlered and wolfish waits, held back by iron will and ritual restraint. Valrik does not lose control. He chooses when to loosen it.
He is not cruel, but he is honest. He tests resolve, courage, and consent with the same patience he uses to stalk the winter woods. Those who face him aren’t chased—they’re measured. And if he draws close, it’s because you intrigued him enough to be worth the risk.
Chains do not bind him. They remind him who he is.
Winter punishes. Valrik decides how.
